Satisfactory is ultimately a ratio game. From a single iron node you keep asking how many smelters and constructors a reinforced-plate line needs, and where your belt tier becomes the bottleneck. Once refinery byproducts and alternate recipes enter the picture, mental math stops working - so I built a calculator that draws the entire production line when you pick a node and click a target part.

How It Works

Step 1 is a row per resource: for Steel Beams you add one row for iron ore and one for coal, each with its own miner tier, output belt, overclock, and node counts by purity. Step 2 lets you click one or more target parts; the tool scales the chain to whatever the scarcest resource (the bottleneck) allows and lays out every machine as a graph, merging shared intermediates like steel ingots into a single node. A "whole machines" option replaces fractional counts such as 1.45 constructors with the integer split that uses your supply best (say, 1 beam constructor plus 2 pipe constructors). A separate target-rate mode works backwards instead: type the per-minute output you want and it derives the machines needed and tells you how many more nodes you are short.

A dropdown on each machine card switches that item to an alternate recipe and recalculates the whole factory instantly - switching screws to Cast Screws removes the iron-rod stage entirely, for example. Mutually-dependent picks like Recycled Plastic plus Recycled Rubber are detected as a cycle and flagged as needing external supply.

Manual-Wiring Mode, AWESOME Sink, Storage

A manual-wiring mode works like the Satisfactory Modeler tool on Steam: every card grows input and output ports, you drag belts and pipes between them, and each connection shows its actual flow - undersupplied inputs turn red, surplus outputs yellow, and lines over the Mk.6 belt or Mk.2 pipe limit get a warning. Leftover production can be dragged onto an AWESOME Sink card, which converts it to points per minute and FICSIT coupons per hour using official sink values, or onto an industrial storage card that estimates time-to-full from stack sizes. Designs autosave in the browser, with JSON export/import and Ctrl+Z undo.

Data Straight From the Game Files

Recipe values and names are extracted from the official docs file shipped inside the game client (CommunityResources/Docs), covering 149 standard and alternate recipes as of game version 1.2, plus per-item sink points and stack sizes, across eight production buildings from the Smelter to the Particle Accelerator, three generators, and the AWESOME Sink and storage.
